UltraISO may be a crippleware application for Microsoft Windows for making, modifying and changing ISO image files used for storage device authoring, presently being made by EZB Systems.

Initially UltraISO was software system but since 2006 it's changed into business software package.The 'Free Trial' version is restricted to ISO pictures of three hundred MB or less, effectively creating it Crippleware.


FEATURES:

  • Duplicate CDs associated DVDs to an ISO image.
  • Create ISO pictures from files placed on a CD/DVD-ROM or magnetic disc.

  • Converts: .BIN, .IMG, .CIF, .NRG, .BWI, .DAA, .DMG, .HFS and alternative formats to the quality ISO image.
  • Supports all ISO 9660 levels and also the Louis Jolliet extension.

ISZ FORMAT:

UltraISO uses a proprietary format referred to as ISZ. The format is publicised as "ISO Zipped", even if it's not an easy nothing archive. The format uses zlib or bzip2 to compress the info, and should use AES-128,192 or 256 secret writing within the blood count mode (note that this provides no integrity protection and is liable to the artifact oracle attack). The file format specification is accessible publically on EZB Systems's web site.[6] The format is currently supported by third party applications like Daemon Tools, Alcohol a hundred and twenty and CDemu.
